Driller Penis
Here's Alan Moore and Savage Pencil's eight-page Driller Penis strip from Corpsemeat 2 (Sympathetic Press, 1989). Be warned that this is definitely Adults Only material, so don't even think about looking at it if you're under 18, or have no sense of humour, or no sense of irony. I mean it!

And while I'm at it, I want to mention Don of Don's Atomic Comics, who sent me a photocopy of this a while ago. Unfortunately, his copies weren't good enough to put online, but he get's 10 out of 10 for being one of the good guys, and going to the trouble of sending it to me all the way from the US of A. Go buy stuff from him!

Please help me out here.
How old was he when he made this?
God, that hurt my mind almost as much as it hurt my mind.

Well, if he was born in 1953, and that was published in 1989, he would have been 36! It's actually really funny, and takes the piss out of about a million things, but it's just so hard to look at Savage Pencil's drawings...

I found the dialogue a little obvious, although the content was viciously satiric. And yeah, my poor eyes.

He never does anything by half, does he?

I look forward to seeing this linked to from Journalista!

Cheers for that. Curt Vile and Savage Pencil together, eh? Did they ever do any combined things when they were both working on Sounds do you know? I remember there being some extra long Christmas strips by both of them seperately (and who were about my favourite cartoonists at the time)

I realise it's long years (well, a year and a bit) after you asked the question, but no-one has answered.

I don't recall Curt Vile and Savage Pencil ever doing anything together, as such, during the _Sounds_ years, but they did do a crossover one week, where Sav drew the episode of 'The Stars My Degradation', and Curt did 'Rock 'n' Roll Zoo'.

I think Harry the Hooper translated the 'Degradation' characters into a 2-D universe, while the 'Zoo' characters complained about being 3-D.

Somewhere in my attic I have the whole run of 'Degradation'. Must find it and read it again one day.

As a satire It's heavy handed and done without any affection for the genre at all so it gets my thumbs up. ;) I love that Alan Moore isn't afraid to do things like this. I like that brutal edge he is capable off. His versatility is his most underrated strength.

I love the splendid gems you manage to acquire Paidrag. Big thumbs up. Can't wait for the Myra strip.
